NOTE:
WEBES and the WEBES Listener (on a WEBES Collection Point) cannot simultaneously run on the
same system. However, all other permutations, including configuration of the System Center
Management Server as a WEBES Collection Point, are supported.

Using SNMP
In the SNMP Event Flow model, you need one to three systems to configure events to flow from the
Storage Device Manager (Command View Tape Library software or equivalent) to System Center.
These functions can run on the System Center Management Server, or can be distributed as required
throughout your environment. Figure 2 shows the SNMP Event Flow model for devices using XP, VA,
P2000/MSA, Tape Storage, P4000, or HP 3PAR Storage system .

NOTE:
When using SNMP collection points, the HP Storage Management Pack should be installed on collection
point server where the OpsMgr agent is deployed.
Using WMI
In the WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) event flow model, for configuring events to flow
from the device to System Center, the device must be discovered from OpsMgr and the agent must
be installed on E5000 Messaging System/X5000 System.
At a given time, you can work with only one blade server in an E5000 System/X5000 System.
Discovering more than one blade servers within an E5000 System/X5000 System may result in
duplicate events being reported by the System Center. If the blade server fails, the administrator needs
