Trap recipients IP address is the OpsMgr server IP address.
Trap recipient levels can be set between values 0-5, where:
0 represents none
1 represents Critical
2 represents Error
3 represents Warning
4 represents Information
5 represents Debug
After successfully completing these steps, B-series Switch traps will be forwarded to OpsMgr server.
Getting SNMP Traps from XP
To configure XP devices, complete the following steps:
1. Open http://docs.hp.com
2. Click Storage Solutions and then select Disk Storage Systems.
The list of XP array models are displayed.
3. Select the appropriate XP array model.
4. Download the respective User Guide and use it to configure the respective XP array.
For example:
For HP Storage XP20000/XP24000 Disk Array, click on HP Storage XP20000/XP24000 Disk Array
and download the HP Storage XP24000/XP20000 SNMP Agent Reference Guide. Use it to configure
the XP 24000 array.
Getting SNMP Traps from Tape device
SNMP Trap configuration is done using the Interface Manager card which has a built-in SNMP agent
that supports queries to MIB-II in addition to SNMP traps/alerts. Configuring SNMP Traps involves
the following common SNMP settings:
Trap Destinations: IP addresses of hosts or applications that need to receive SNMP alerts/traps
from the Interface Manager card. A trap receiver is an SNMP-enabled machine on the LAN that
decodes and logs SNMP traps. Up to eight trap destinations can be specified.
