Users can write their own monitors, using the EMS Developers’ Kit. The manual and software

can be downloaded free from the Website http://www.software.hp.com . Select High

Availability, and then choose Event Monitoring Service Developers’ Kit.

Conﬁguring MC/ServiceGuard EMS Resource Dependencies

Inthe earlier versions of MC/ServiceGuard, it was possible to conﬁgure the EMS resource

package dependencies via SAM in the “Package Conﬁguration” subarea. Since the “Package

Conﬁguration” subarea in SAM is not supported in MC/ServiceGuard version A.11.15.00, an

alternate procedure for conﬁguring EMS resource package dependencies has been provided.

alternate procedure.
