The power cord must be rated for the product and for the voltage and current marke d
on the p roduct electric al ratings label. The voltage and current rating of the cord should
be greater than the voltage and current rating marked on the p roduct. In addition, the
diameterofthewiremustbeaminimumof1.00mm2or18AWG,andthelengthof
thecordmustbebetween1.8m(6ft)and3.6m(12ft). Ifyouhavequestionsabout
the type of p ower cord to use, contact an H P authorized service provider.
NOTE:
Route power cords so that they will not be walked on and cannot be pinched by items
placed upon or against them. Pay particular attention to the plug, electrical outlet, and
thepointwherethecordsexitfromtheproduct.

Electrostatic discharge
Topreventdamagetothesystem,beawareoftheprecautionsyouneedtofollowwhen
setting up the system or handling parts. A discharge of static electricity from a finger or
other conductor may damage system boards or other static-sensitive devices. This type
of damage may reduce the life expectancy of the device.
Preventing electrostatic discharge
To prevent electrostatic damage, observe the following precautions:
Avoid hand contact by transporting and storing products in static-safe containers.
Keep electrostatic-sensitive parts in their containers until they arrive at static-free
workstations.
Place par ts on a grounded surface before removing them from their containers.
Avoid touching pins, leads, or circ uitry.
Always be properly grounded when touching a static-sensitive comp onent or
assembly (see Grounding methods).
