Before enabling SNMPv3, ensure that all desired communit y strings are
congured for SNMPv3 access. If the community strings are n ot congured
for SNMPv3, then SNMP access will be lost.

Formatting is required for new backup CD-RW disks
If you use a different CD-RW disk to backup other than the one provided with the HA FM
appliance, you must access the desktop of the HAFM appliance in order to enable the
formatting of the n ew disk. Backups cannot be performed until the new disk is formatted.
Upgrading f
rom previous HAFM versions requires a special process
If you have a
n HA FM notebook server or an HAFM appliance and you are upgrading to
HAFM 08.08
.00, you must follow the directions as detailed in the HP StorageWorks
HA-Fabric
Manager Transition Guide, to successfully transfer your SAN conguration
informat
ion to HAFM 08.08.00.
