High Availability Monitors Version A.04.00.02 Release Notes for HP-UX 11i v1 Announcement Announcement High Availability Monitors (HA Monitors) (B5736DA) A.04.00.02 runs on the HP-UX 11i v1 operating system. The following high availability monitors are included in this bundle: • HA Disk Monitor checks the status of the disks managed by Logical Volume Manager (LVM) and detects disconnected buses, power-failed or missing disks, and stale or missing mirrors.

HA Monitors contains a suite of monitors. Among them, MIB Monitor is used for monitoring the availability of LAN interface. Libraries of all HA Monitors are available as PA libraries.

Both Oracle and Informix have their own RDBMS MIB subagents, and each has its own proprietary method of instrumenting the MIB. The HA Database Monitor relies on values in the MIB to monitor the databases and database servers.

It is currently not being incremented. • What is the workaround? Monitor a different resource.
