Using the Fabrics View

Click the button to the left of fabric name or WWN to expand the tree and display
the WWN or nicknames (if configured) of all products, such as switches and
directors, included in the fabric. A product status icon will display by each
product in the tree (Refer to “Status Icons” on page 103). If the product is not
managed by the HAFM server that you are using, no status icon displays.
Click the button to the left of the product WWN or nickname to display all nodes,
such as servers or storage devices, attached to the product. Status is not available
for the nodes.
Colored status symbols display before fabric names, if the fabrics are “persisted,
and before product names or product WWNs. Pop-up menus also display when
you right-click fabrics, products, and nodes in the Fabric Tree.
Status icons relate to your use of the Topology tab. Refer to “Status Icons” on
page 103 and “Fabric Pop-Up Menu” on page 104, under the “Using the
Topology Tab” section for details.
Using the Topology Tab
This section describes elements in the Topology tab and tells you how to
use them.
Fabric Tree
The Fabric Tree on the left side of the Fabrics View displays a list of fabrics,
products (switches or directors) in each fabric, and nodes attached to each
product. Click a fabric name or WWN to display the switches, directors, and ISLs
in the fabric in the Topology tab area. Click the icon to the left of a fabric to
display the products in the fabric and click the icon by a product to display the
nodes attached to the product.
The status icons and pop-up menus that display in the Fabric Tree relate to the
display in the Topology tab.
