5. Use the arrow keys as described in step 2 to input a new IP address, then

press ENTER. The following message is displayed (Figure 34)withthedefault

subnet mask of 255.0.0.0.

6. Use the arrow keys as described in step 2 to input a new subnet mask, then

press ENTER. The following message is displayed (Figure 35)withanIP

address whose first three octets (each three decimal digits) are the same as the

IP address entered in step 5, and the last octet is set to decimal 254 (or the

default gateway IP address of 0.0.0.0 is displayed ).

7. Use the arrow keys as describ ed in step 2 to input a new ga teway IP address,

then press ENTER. The following message is displayed (Figure 36)withthe

default DNS server IP address of 0.0.0.0.
