Table 4 Command output
Field Description
GigabitEthernet 4/0/0.1 current
state
State of the Ethernet subinterface:
DOWN ( Administratively )—The Ethernet subinterface was shut
down with the shutdown command. The interface is
administratively down.
DOWN ( Link-Aggregation interface down )—The Ethernet
subinterface is physically down because the aggregate interface
corresponding to the aggregation group to which the subinterface
belongs was shut down with the shutdown command.
DOWN—The Ethernet subinterface is administratively up but
physically down (possibly because no physical link is present or the
link has failed).
UP—The Ethernet subinterface is both administratively and
physically up.
Line protocol current state
Link layer state of the subinterface:
DOWN—The interface is physically down.
UP—The interface is physically up.
Internet protocol processing
Disabled indicates that IP packets cannot be processed.
For an interface configured with an IP address, this field changes to
Internet Address is.
IP Packet Frame Type Encapsulation format for IPv4 packets.
Hardware Address MAC address corresponding to the subinterface.
IPv6 Packet Frame Type Encapsulation format for IPv6 packets.
