End-user delete security
The SetAdmin security tool allows you to set the administrator and password values that are required
to delete items on the RISS backend.
YoumustsetapasswordvaluetoavoidanAdmin password invalid error condition when using the
delete functionality.
For security, the administrator account must be set on the m achine performing the mining operations. The
required values are the same as the administrator a nd password values on the RISS.
To set the values, run the SetAdmin.exe program. It may be executed either interactively in Windows or
on a DOS command line. This is a console application and should not be scheduled in the RISS Scheduler.
SetAdmin.exe from Windows
The SetAdmin.exe program provides a dialog box to enter the administrator and password values. Be
sure to remember the values; as a security precaution they cannot be read back.
The SetAdmin dialog shows stars in place of the a ctual values and includes a status line that indicates
whether the values are actually set.
