Created: 8/6/2008
DETAILS:
The following are the steps required to perform an offline upgrade for Ibrix v2.2
and v3.1.
1. Copy and extract the tarball to all servers and clients.
You can extract from /root and it will extract the ibrix directory tree. If /root/ibrix
exists then mv it to ibrix.old before extracting the new tarball.
2. From the FM, disable HA on all segment servers from the FM:
ibrix_host -m -U
3. Verify HA is off from FM:
ibrix_host -l -S (Failover should display no.)
4. On the FM run the upgrade script from the ibrix directory:
./ibrixupgrade
5. Verify the FusionManager started up:
/etc/init.d/ibrix_fusionmanager status
Output should look similar to this:
ibrix_quotamonitor is running.. pid 18635
postmaster (pid 31759 31758 31757 31756 31755 31754 31753 31752 31751
31750 18715 18714 18711) is running...
Fusion Manager Daemon (pid 18748) running...
Tomcat is up and running
6. On each seg server run the upgrade script from the ibrix directory:
./ibrixupgrade
