HP Insight Cluster Management Utility v7.1 Release Notes

Add mpower support to cmu_power. Provide mpower scripts for HP iLO CM.
New -a and -m options to cmu_del_user_group allow interaction with the history database.
New commands cmu_show_archived_user_groups and
cmu_del_archived_user_groups.
New command cmu_del_snapshots.
The cmu_scan_macs command is updated to:
Support improved name generation using name patterns.
Enable reading BMC addresses to be scanned from a file.
Ability to specify mulitple BMC addresses on the command line.
Provide an option to write the resulting node definitions to a file.
The BROWSE keyword is added for Custom MENU.
The GUI_NO_ACK and SERVER_NO_ACK keywords are added to cmu_custom_menu to
avoid appearance of confirmation windows.
2.6 Back-end improvements
Support for Oracle JRE 1.7 for the HP Insight CMU GUI and cmuserver.
The HP Insight CMU dynamic user groups service is now a standard service, and must
be configured in cmuserver.conf.
Extended monitoring is updated to start and respawn processes. For details, see the "HP Insight
Cluster Management Utility v7.1 User Guide".
The cmu_config_non_gpu_nodes utility is replaced with an automated process that
determines whether a node has GPUs and configures it appropriately for HP Insight CMU
monitoring.
The cmu_power utility now has a progress bar to facilitate understanding of the process on
a large number of systems.
The cmudiff tool now traps even more error messages from the ssh clients.
All cloning operations are now logged in cloning log files, partitioning, formatting, grub-install,
and post cloning.
CMU_ADD_NETBOOT_NIC_UDEV_RULE is implemented (and set to yes by default) to guarantee
that the NIC registered in HP Insight CMU keeps the same Ethernet name after cloning. (This
only applies to the registered netboot NIC.)
Additional checks are implemented to filter out nodes with improper MAC addresses and/or
nodes that do not belong to any network entity.
Netboot image+kernel is updated with fixes for udev rules failures, and the provides support
for the latest HP ProLiant low-level tools.
The cmu_console utility now supports automatic login to iLO, a vsp option is added to
connect to a specific serial port, and IPMI support is implemented.
This release provides a fix to improve performance of the node validation checks invoked by
cloning and other HP Insight CMU CLI commands.
GPT format support is added for large disks and new Linux distributions.
Updates in cmuserver.conf default settings facilitate Ubuntu autoinstall.
