HP Insight Control for Linux 6.0 Installation Guide

Table 3-1 Installation requirements (continued)
RequirementItem
All components of the CMS and all ProLiant servers you want to manage
with Insight Control for Linux must meet the minimum firmware requirements
listed in the HP Insight Control for Linux Support Matrix.
Minimum firmware versions
You must have downloaded a copy of the PSP that has been tested with this
version of Insight Control for Linux and is appropriate for your hardware.
See the HP Insight Control for Linux Support Matrix for the supported PSP
version.
To download a PSP, follow the instructions in Section 10.3.2 (page 69).
NOTE: A PSP is not required if you are installing Insight Control for Linux
in a virtual machine guest.
ProLiant Support Pack
The software deployment features of Insight Control for Linux require a
DHCP server if you are not using virtual media to boot your managed systems.
If you do not have access to a DHCP server on your network, the Insight
Control for Linux installation process can configure a DHCP server on the
CMS. The Insight Control for Linux installation script will prompt you for
DHCP configuration information.
If you already have a DHCP server on your network that you want to use for
Insight Control for Linux, you will use the instructions in Chapter 4 (page 29)
to configure DHCP according to Insight Control for Linux requirements.
