Virtualization on a SLES 11 CMS requires this RPM to be installed on the CMS before you install Insight Control
for Linux. You can find the compat-libstdc++-296-2.96 RPM in the SLES 11 PSP. However, if you are not
planning to install the PSP or you are running Insight Control for Linux in a Xen VM guest, you must obtain the
compat-32bit RPM from Novell.
3.4.1.3 Disable secure Linux on RHEL OS
Insight Control for Linux requires that Secure Linux (SElinux) is disabled on RHEL OSs. SElinux
is not offered with SLES OSs.
Follow the instructions in the vendor-supplied Linux documentation to disable SElinux now if
you have not already done so.
IMPORTANT: If your corporate policy requires SElinux, a published Insight Control for Linux
white paper describes how to enable SElinux after an Insight Control for Linux installation.
See Section 10.3 (page 68) for information about how to obtain Insight Control for Linux white
papers.
3.4.1.4 Verify Systems Insight Manager version
Systems Insight Manager does not need to be preinstalled on the server, but if it is, the installed
version must meet the minimum version requirements for Insight Control for Linux. See the HP
Insight Control for Linux Support Matrix for a list of supported versions of Systems Insight Manager.
If the server is running a version of Systems Insight Manager that is not listed in the HP Insight
Control for Linux Support Matrix, you must manually upgrade the CMS to a supported version
of Systems Insight Manager before you begin the Insight Control for Linux installation process.
3.4.1.5 Install the supported version of the PSP
If the CMS is an HP ProLiant server with an Integrated Lights Out (iLO or iLO2 ) management
processor (MP), you must install the supported version of the PSP that has been tested with this
