Table 5-1 (page 40) lists the information you are required to supply for a pre-existing
Oracle database. If you answer yes to this question, the HP Insight Control for
Linux installation process collects all of the information pertaining to the location
of and credentials for the Oracle database and ensures that Systems Insight Manager
is installed appropriately for use with the Oracle database.
2
Select the device name that corresponds to the CMS management interface. The
CMS management interface is the Ethernet adapter that is used for communication
between the CMS and the managed systems.
3
Do not use the following characters in the MP password: dollar sign ($), at sign
(@), single left quote (`), percent sign (%), and double quote (“).
The default setting on an iLO management processor accepts passwords equal to
or greater than eight characters in length. If you want to use a password that contains
less than eight characters, you must change the setting on the iLO. In addition,
there are restrictions on LO100 passwords: any characters over 16 characters are
ignored.
5
You must enter root as the Systems Insight Manager user name, and you must
enter the root password.
4
After you have successfully run the install.sh script, you must always use the
same collection name if you ever rerun the script. In this release, HP does not
support changing the collection name after the install.sh script completes.
6
See Table 5-1 (page 40) for the reasons for exporting the /hptc_cluster file
system to the management hub servers.
7
If you answer y to configure the CMS as a DHCP server, you are prompted to
supply the DHCP configuration information listed in Table 5-2 (page 43).
If you answer n to use a pre-existing DHCP server, see Chapter 4 (page 29), which
describes DHCP configuration requirements for Insight Control for Linux.
See Appendix B (page 85) for a sample of the remainder of the output that is generated by
the installation script.
