Some tools in Systems Insight Manager are defined to run
as root on Linux and VMware ESX managed systems.
However, root logins are not allowed in many customer
environments.
Instead, administrators might be required to use an
individual login that is authorized to acquire root
permissions as needed (for example, using su or sudo). In
this case, you can configure privilege elevation in Systems
Insight Manager. This feature allows you to specify a
non-root login on managed systems and a command that
can be used to acquire root privileges as needed.
OptionalPrivilege Elevation
Supply an SMTP host name and email address if you want
Systems Insight Manager to send event notifications by
email. Then, click Next.

Click Finish, then click Close.
