iLO Integrated Lights Out. A self-contained hardware technology available on various hardware
models that enables remote management of any node within a system.
Subsequent generations of this technology are iLO 2 and iLO3.

Internet address A unique 32-bit number that identifies a host's connection to an Internet network. An Internet
address is commonly represented as a network number and a host number and takes a form
similar to the following: 192.0.2.0.
IP range Systems each with an IP address that falls in a specified range.

Kickstart file A configuration file used to effect an unattended installation of RHEL operating systems.

managed system Any system managed by HP Insight Control for Linux, such as servers, management processors,
and storage systems.

Processor

MP Management Processor. Controls the system console, reset, and power management functions
on HP servers. There are two types of management processors on HP servers: Integrated Lights
Out (iLO) and Lights Out Management. (LO100).

Nagios An open source system and network monitoring application infrastructure. It is a graphical
web-based application that provides a variety of system statistics that you use to monitor the
health of managed systems.

OA Onboard Administrator. The enclosure management hardware, software, and firmware that is
used to support all of the managed devices contained within the HP BladeSystem c-Class enclosure.

pdsh Parallel Distributed Shell. An open source command that is a multi-threaded remote shell client.
It runs commands on multiple managed systems in parallel.

Web-based tool that displays actual metric data in for all servers being monitored and managed
by HP Insight Control for Linux.
ProLiant Support
Pack

PSP ProLiant Support Pack. A set of HP software components that have been bundled together by HP
and verified to work with a particular operating system. An HP ProLiant Support Pack contains
driver components, agent components, and application and utility components. All these are
verified to install together.

script
An optional user-provided script that runs during a PSP deployment to a managed system.
