B. If you are using Matrix recovery management, upgrade the remote site by following the steps in the Configuring
the CMS, managed systems, and products section of the HP Insight Management 7.2 Installation and
Configuration Guide.
C. On the secondary system, run Administrative Tools Services and then stop the following Insight Management
services in the order listed below. Ensure the state of each service before moving to the next step.
i. HP Matrix infrastructure bursting connecter
ii. HP Matrix infrastructure chargeback
iii. HP Matrix Infrastructure orchestration
iv. RSCentral
v. RSJRAS
vi. HP Logical Server Automation
vii. HP Storage Provisioning Manager Service
viii. HP Extensible Storage & Server Adapter
ix. HP Capacity Advisor Data Service
x. HP Agentless Data Collector Service
xi. HP Global Workload Manager Central Management Server
xii. HP Application Discovery
xiii. HP Insight Control virtual machine management
xiv. HP Insight Control server migration Web Service

D. Power the primary system on, and log in to Windows as Administrator. Both the primary and secondary systems
should be running.
E. Use Failover Cluster Manager to verify that the SQL Server clustered service is online on the secondary system.
F. Use Failover Cluster Manager to move the Insight Management clustered service to the primary system. Bring the
service online. In this paper, the Insight Management service is called cms-c16-matrix.
8. Perform validation and final configuration steps.
A. After waiting a few minutes to ensure that the Systems Insight Manager service has started, connect to the
Systems Insight Manager service through a client Web browser, using the network name specified for the Systems
Insight Manager network name cluster resource.
B. Select Help About to verify the product names and versions in the About page. Click Close to close the About
page.
C. Select Tasks & Logs View All Scheduled Tasks. Run the daily system identification task.
D. Select Options Discovery. Run any appropriate discovery tasks to make sure that managed system data is up to
date.
E. If you installed new products, for each one complete its corresponding steps 14-19 under Configuring Systems
Insight Manager and validating the cluster and its Final configuration steps.
F. At this point, it is recommended to verify the steps listed under the section Final configuration steps to confirm
the component’s settings.
