21.1 Changing management processor credentials
Select the following menu item from the HP Insight Control user interface to change the user
name and passwords for iLO-based management processors:
ConfigureManagement ProcessorCredentials
You can set these credentials at a global level for all managed systems or set them on an individual
basis.
If you want unique credentials on an LO100-based server, you must set them manually. The
ConfigureManagement ProcessorCredentials only sets these credentials locally.
For more information on management processor credentials, see “Management Processor
Credentials” (page 211).
21.2 Changing the default port for the repository web server
By default, the repository web server is configured to provide files on TCP port 60000.
NOTE: The default port for the repository web server is hard coded in the VMware ESX Kickstart
template files. If you want to change the port, you must manually replace all occurrences of
60000 with the new port number before performing the VMware ESX installation.
To change the default port, follow these steps:
1. Use a text editor to edit the following file:
/opt/mx/icle/icle.properties
2. Change the value of the REPOSITORY_HTTP_PORT attribute to an unused port that is
available and selected to run the repository web server.
NOTE: If you plan to install SLES Version 9 on any managed systems, you must run the
repository web server on TCP port 80. Port 80 is the only port supported by Novell for that
version of their Linux. This limitation does not apply to any other OS type or version.
3. Save your changes and exit the text editor.
4. If you have changed the port number for the repository web server, verify that the new port
is open on the CMS. One method is to use the nmap command.
5. Restart HP SIM by running the following commands:
# /opt/mx/bin/mxstop
# /opt/mx/bin/mxstart
