# mkdir /mnt
# mount o loop Insight Control for Linux_image_name.iso /mnt
NOTE: Use the following mount command if you are mounting a DVD:
# mount -r /dev/cdrom /mnt
7. Navigate to the mount point and to the location of the installation script:
# cd /mnt/HP
8. Run the Insight Control for Linux installation script to start the upgrade process:
# ./install.sh
This will install HP Insight Control for Linux (Insight Control for Linux) including
Systems Insight Manager (Systems Insight Manager)
NOTE: Default responses to all questions are enclosed in square brackets ([ ]). Press Enter
to accept a default response.
9. Respond to the following question:
IC-Linux Version 2.xx was found on this system.
Would you like to upgrade from this version to V.current_release? (y/n) [y]
Do one of the following:
Enter y or press Enter to begin the upgrade process to the new version of Insight Control
for Linux and Systems Insight Manager (if required).
Enter n to exit.
10. Indicate whether or not you have read and accept the license agreement. If you have not read
the agreement, enter n to display and read the agreement now.
Have you read the license agreement? (y/n) [y]
Do you accept this license agreement? (y/n) [y]
After you accept the license agreement, the upgrade process begins.

11. Press the Enter key.
If you are upgrading from any version in the Insight Control for Linux Version 2.00 release
stream, you must answer one additional question:
Do you want the CMS to use nfs to automatically export /hptc_cluster to the
management hub nodes? (y/n) [n]
For a description of the reasons why you want to export the /hptc_cluster file system
to the management hub servers, see Table 11 (page 38).
If you are upgrading from Insight Control for Linux Version 2.10 or later, the upgrade
begins.
A sample upgrade session is provided in Appendix C (page 85).
When the upgrade is complete, see Section 8.3, which describes how to manually merge file
customizations.
8.3 Manually merging file customizations
If you made customizations to Insight Control for Linux configuration files, you must manually merge
those changes if you want to retain the customizations.
