HP Insight Control Power Management 7.3 User

Miscellaneous
When you rename the Systems Insight Manager discovered systems,
enclosures, or racks in power management, the renamed names will be
restored to the original names during the next discovery.
Solution: Perform the following to resolve the problem:
1. From the Tools and Links tab of the System page, click Edit System Properties.
2. Select Prevent the Discovery process from changing this system name, and click OK.
Limitations of IPv6
All features are supported with the following exceptions:
Graceful Shutdown of Local VMs on IPv6 hosts.
Intelligent Power discovery features are not supported when iPDU is configured with iPV6
address.
Insight Management stack will not support IPv6 on HP UX platform.
DCPC works only on primary address of a system and cannot detect a system with non-primary
address. For example, if a system has IPV4 as primary address and IPV6 as non-primary
address, DCPC will work only with the primary IPV4 address.
The following Intelligent Power discovery features are not supported when iPDU is configured
with iPV6:
iPDU, its load segments and outlets would not be visible and hence, power information
and reports will not be available for these power delivery devices
Enabling and disabling power of an iPDU outlet
Powering on/off the UID LED of an iPDU
The following Power Management features will be available for user even if the iPDU is
discovered with IPv6 address, but the devices (mentioned below) need to be discovered
manually if they are connected to iPDU
Visualization of the layout of racks, systems/devices in a rack
View power information of racks, systems/devices, C-Class enclosures
View reports /export reports of systems (servers /enclosures)
Set the power caps, change power regulator mode, refresh power/thermal data of systems
(servers / enclosures)
Power Operations for Proliant 100 are not supported
Association of Chassis node for SL series server is not supported
