Configuration
By default, the SCVMM WinPE boot image does not support newer ProLiant servers. The kit installs
additional WinPE drivers into the library. These drivers need to be injected into the SCVMM WinPE
boot image to support newer ProLiant servers.
To update the SCVMM WinPE boot image, make a copy of the Windows ADK WinPE wim file,
mount it, inject the appropriate drivers, unmount, and publish the image to the WDS server using
the SCVMM publish-scwindowspe cmdlet.
Alternatively, the System Center 2012 Virtual Machine Manager Scripting Guide, located at
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh875040.aspx, contains a PowerShell script that will
inject drivers matching a single tag into a WinPE boot image and then publish that image to the
WDS server.
As of version 2013.02.0, the installer will no longer prompt for or use the additional WinPE tag.
When upgrading, the installer will continue to persist any additional tags that have been manually
added to any HP drivers. This means that additional tag management is left up to the customer. If
an additional tag was applied to the previous WinPE 3.0 drivers it must be manually removed
and then applied to the WinPE 4.0 drivers.
