Setting the default archiving behavior
After you turn automatic archiving on or off, the status (
Running
or
Stopped
) of
the Active-Archive monitor remains the same until you change it. If you log
off or restart your computer, the most recent status is saved as your
preferred setting and restored when you log on again. Thus, turning archiving
on or off sets the default behavior of automatic archiving.
Note:
Many users prefer to leave archiving on at all times. If you choose
to do this, be aware that automatic archiving can use a signifi-
cant amount of your computer resources.
Displaying queued files
To display queued files:
Open the
My Active-Archive
folder by double-clicking the folder icon on
your desktop. The Active-Archive Bin is displayed.
Examining the archiving status of a file
To examine the archiving status:
Open the
My Active-Archive
folder. The Active-Archive Bin displays the
files. The archiving
Status
of a file is displayed next to the filename in
your Active-Archive Bin.
