Monitoring the migration
The primary method for monitoring a migration is to watch the command output. The hpvmmigrate
command provides a percentage completed indicator for each step of the migration (see Figure 7,
above). On the target host, the hpvmstatus command uses “On (MGT)” in the State column to
indicate that a guest is migrating onto it. If run on the source host, hpvmstatus uses “On (MGS).”
