QLogic iSCSI HBA guide for SAN/iQ

Initial iSCSI Setup of QLogic HBAs
Follow the recommendations in the QLogic Quick Start Guide covering the
iSCSI HBA installation, driver installation, and the SANsurfer iSCSI HBA
Management application.
It is always the recommendation to use the latest firmware, boot code, drivers
and SANsurfer application available from QLogic Support. The SANsurfer
GUI or iscli Command Line Interface (CLI) may be used to set the
following settings:
KeepAliveTO (Keep Alive Time Out) from default 30 to 600 seconds.
Configure the HBA Global Keep Alive Time Out under HBA Options tab,
Firmware sub tab, under the Configured Firmware Values.
Enable ARP Redirect (iscli 0 ¡Vn IPARP on)

LeftHand Networks does not support MPIO with the QLogic iSCSI HBA at
this time.
QLogic offers 3 types of drivers for Windows platforms: SCSI miniport, STOR
miniport, and NDIS.
The SCSI miniport or STOR miniport driver may be used. STOR miniport is
the new Windows driver architecture. The SCSI miniport driver model will be
retired after Windows 2008. These drivers support the QLogic iSCSI HBA as a
SCSI and RAID controller type of device. The NDIS driver allows the QLogic
iSCSI HBA to be used as a TCP offload network interface and will require that
