The default installation path for the Recovery Manager is in C:\Program Files\HP\.
Configuring the Recovery Manager
Use the Recovery Manager for:
“Configuring management group credentials (page 5)
“Configuring snapshot preferences (page 7)
Automatically check for an upgrade (page 8)
“Configuring auto-mount policies for snapshots (page 10)
Configuring management group credentials
Adding management group credentials in the Recovery Manager saves them as cached encrypted
credentials, so they are available for later use.
When adding management group credentials, you must have the following information available:
One of the following:
Management group name
An IP address associated with the management group. This can be the IP address of an
individual storage system or the virtual IP of the cluster hosting the volume and snapshots
in the management group.
The administrator user name and password for the management group. The administrator
must be a member of an administrative group in the CMC with full permissions.
TIP: When you add credentials in Recovery Manager, Application Aware Snapshot Manager,
or the CLI, the credentials are saved and shared by all three tools. For example, if you previously
added credentials in the Application Aware Snapshot Manager, you do not need to add the
credentials in Recovery Manager.
