Managing Serviceguard Extension for SAP on Integrity Linux, December 2005

Understanding Serviceguard Extension for SAP on Integrity Linux
Planning the LVM Layout for Clustered SAP Environments
Chapter 1 31
SGeSAP/LX IPF Filestructure
The Linux distribution of Serviceguard uses a special file,
/etc/cmcluster.conf, to define the locations for configuration and log
files within the Linux filesystem. These paths differ depending on the
Linux distribution used. In this document, references to ${SGCONF} can
be replaced by the definition of the prefix that is found in this file. The
default value on SUSE is SGCONF=/opt/cmcluster/conf and for Red at
it is SGCONF=/usr/local/cmcluster/conf.
The contents of this directory must be synchronized manually on all
hosts of the cluster.
Figure 1-4 shows the configuration files used as input for the standard
Serviceguard cmapplyconf(1m) command to generate the cmclconfig
file that is used to manage the cluster.
