2 Step by Step Installation of
SGeSAP on Integrity Linux for
SAP WAS Central Instances
This chapter describes in detail how to convert an existing SAP
installation to become part of a high availability cluster using
Serviceguard for Linux for Integrity and the Serviceguard Extension for
SAP on Integrity Linux (SGeSAP/LX IPF).
SGeSAP/LX IPF package types DBCI, DB, CI, D, and SAPNFS are
currently supported and their installation is covered in in great detail.
These package types are used to provide failover capabilities to Central
Instances, Application Servers, and databases of the following SAP
components: SAP WAS, SAP BW, SAP APO, SAP R/3, SAP R/3
Enterprise, SAP EBP/CRM, SAP KW, SAP SEM and SAP WPS. Refer to
the support matrix published in the release notes of SGeSAP/LX IPF to
get details whether your SAP component is supported in Serviceguard
clusters on Linux.
The installation steps cover SUSE Linux SLES 9 SP2 based
environments using Serviceguard for Linux for Integrity version 11.16.
Installation is only valid for HP non-SSI (non-Single System Image)
environments.
