Support
When one of the following operating systems is installed on the hosts,
and the hosts are to access LUs larger than 2 TB:
AIX 5.2 TL08 or later
AIX 5.3 TL04 or later
Windows Server 2003 SP1 or later
Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS 4 Update 1 or later
CAUTION:
Other operating systems do not support LUs larger than 2 TB. If
other operating systems are used by hosts, make sure that LUs
are not larger than 2 TB.
CAUTION:
For information about the maximum LU capacity supported by
your operating system, contact the manufacturer of your operating
system.
Creating iSCSI targets (when conguring iSCSI environments)
You can connect multiple server hosts on different platforms to one port on the array. When conguring
the system, you must group server hosts connected to the array by iSCSI targets. For example, if HP-UX
andWindowshostsareconnectedtoaport,youmustcreateoneiSCSItargetforHP-UXhostsand
another iSCSI target for Windows hosts. Next, you must register HP-UX hosts to the corresponding iSCSI
target and register Windows hosts to the other iSCSI target.
