Data Integrity Check and RAID Manager
Data Integrity Check is congured and operated using Data Integrity Check commands in R A ID Manager
XP. For RAI D Manager operations, refer to the HP StorageWorks RA I D Manager XP User's Guide.
You must specify the volume to be checked, and the type of check using RAID Manager (the types are
different depending on versions) . The les (constructed in RAW volume) that are checked are: Data,
Redo log and Control. If data is written from the host server to the array, the data check is initiated by
channel adapters (CHIPs) that support Data Integ rity Check.
NOTE:
The check is not started when the data is read.
When invalid data is detected, the error is reported from the CH IPs to RA I D Manager, and a log (syslog)
is generated from RAID M anager.
