HP CloudSystem Matrix Bursting Connector
HP CloudSystem Matrix version 7.2 (and later) includes a bursting connector component which, when enabled, can be used
to provide compute services to other CloudSystem Matrix systems. The bursting connector provides an API endpoint that
CloudSystem Matrix systems interface to in the same manner as for other cloud providers. This white paper describes how to
configure the connector and CloudSystem Matrix system to provide compute services. It also provides high-level guidance on
how to customize the connector.
HP CloudSystem Matrix Bursting Protocol
This white paper defines the HTTP/S OpenStack REST protocol subset used by HP CloudSystem Matrix to support cloud
bursting to external clouds. This protocol includes operations for authentication, obtaining hardware profiles (flavors),
obtaining software images, provisioning and managing servers, managing data disks, and managing security groups. This
information is required to interface to OpenStack-based clouds or to develop a CloudSystem Matrix bursting connecter to
non-OpenStack-based clouds. This information is also useful to those troubleshooting or extending existing connecters.
