RDP Requirements
Update the RDP PSP Area to include NPIV aware driver
This is only necessary when deploying Windows 2003 or 2008 server prior to RDP 3.83.
1. First, save a copy of the original file found in: C:\Program Files\HP\RDP\Deployment
Server\lib\software\ProLiant Support Pack Z.ZZ for Windows
2003\cp009292.exe
2. Replace cp009292.exe with the custom patch received from HP of the same name, i.e.
cp009292.exe
If you are installing Windows 2008, the same driver may be used. Follow the path above to the
“for Windows 2008” branch and replace the equivalent file.
Customize the HPIO RDP jobs to explicitly disable SmartArray and use BFS (i.e. Boot From SAN)
1. Add the following BFS configuration jobs to your HPIO Linux and Windows deployment
folders. This should be the first job in the folder
a. Deploy Proliant BL System Configuration (Boot from SAN) {LinuxPE}
b. Deploy Proliant BL System Configuration (Boot from SAN) {WinPE}
The resulting folder configuration should look similar to:
