HP Insight Dynamics 6.2 Integrity CMS Installation and Configuration Guide

1 Introduction

This document describes the installation and configuration of HP Insight Dynamics - VSE suite

for Integrity (ID-VSE for Integrity) . It is intended to be used by Insight Dynamics system

administrators, Insight Dynamics application administrators, capacity planners, and other

technical professionals involved with data center operations, administration, and planning. An

understanding of HP-UX system administration concepts and procedures is assumed.

Installing, updating, and configuring ID-VSE for Integrity involves performing the following

tasks:

• Checking hardware and software requirements for ID-VSE for Integrity.

• Installing ID-VSE for Integrity on the CMS.

• Upgrading ID-VSE for Integrity from previous versions of the software.

• Installing agent software and WBEM providers on managed systems.

• Performing post-install or post-upgrade configurations of ID-VSE for Integrity.

• Backing up and restoring the ID-VSE for Integrity database.
