When defining a logical server, the server administrator can choose an appropriate storage pool entry, proceeding
without requiring interaction with the storage administrator. Figure 15 shows a logical server creation using an
existing storage pool entry. Note that the name and description of each possible entry in shown, helping the
administrator make an appropriate choice (and demonstrating why it is important to have helpful names and
descriptions). The Matrix OE software will only show available storage pool entries for the portability group of the
logical server that match the required OS mode for the logical server (e.g., won‟t show Linux host mode volumes if the
logical server requires Windows).
