1 HP Insight Dynamics 6.3.2 release
HP Insight Dynamics 6.3.2 release includes updates to the HP Global Workload Manager (gWLM)
software to support HP Integrity Superdome 2 with dynamic cores.
New features in HP Insight Dynamics 6.3.2 software
HP Insight Dynamics 6.3.2 release includes changes to gWLM. The following are the updates to
gWLM:
• On HP Integrity Superdome 2 with dynamic cores, gWLM supports nPars and vPars. FSS,
PSETS, and Integrity VM are now supported across multiple partitions.
• gWLM A.6.3.2 CMS runs on HP-UX 11i v2 (B.11.23) and HP-UX 11i v3 (B.11.31).
• gWLM A.6.3.2 agent works with HP-UX 11i v3.

Installing and configuring 6.3.2 CMS
For a new installation or to upgrade Insight Dynamics versions earlier than 6.3 to Insight Dynamics
6.3.2:
IMPORTANT: If you are upgrading to 6.3.2 from Insight Dynamics 6.3, start from Step 3.
1. Install or upgrade to HP SIM software version 6.3.

2. Install or upgrade to Insight Dynamics software version 6.3.
For information on how to upgrade, see HP Insight Dynamics Integrity CMS Installation and
Configuration Guide available at http://www.hp.com/go/insightdynamics/docs.
3. Download and install the Hotfix Update Kit for HP SIM 6.3 - HP-UX available at:
http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/hpsim/dl_hpux.html
4. Initialize HP SIM on the CMS:
# /opt/mx/bin/mxinitconfig –a
5. Install the downloaded Insight Dynamics 6.3.2 software on the CMS:
# /usr/sbin/swinstall -s /<download path>/<vse depot>
where, <download path> is the location where you have downloaded the Insight Dynamics
6.3.2 depot.
6. Initialize VSE:
# msswinitconfig -a
# /opt/vse/bin/vseinitconfig –a
When vseinitconfig finishes, you are prompted to restart HP SIM. Type y and press Enter
to restart HP SIM.
