Installing and configuring managed nodes
Prerequisites
• Onboard Administrator (OA) firmware version 2.51.102.
For information on how to download, install, and upgrade firmware version to 2.51.102, see
the HP Integrity Superdome2 Server Firmware Bundle product release notes. Click on the
Integrated Firmware Bundle - HP Integrity Superdome 2 Servers link to view the release notes.
• HP-UX 11iv3 1109 (or later) to support the OA firmware on all partitions. The following HP-UX
patches must be installed when running on partitions with 2.51.102 nPartition firmware:
◦ PHKL_42230
◦ PHKL_42314
◦ PHKL_42482

• HP Instant Capacity version B.11.31.10.04.01.x or later must be installed on OS of all
partitions to be managed by gWLM.
To install Instant Capacity:
1. Download Instant Capacity software available from: https://h20392.www2.hp.com/
portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B9073BA.
2. Install Instant Capacity:
# /usr/sbin/swinstall –s /<download path>/<iCAP depot> B9073BA
where, <download path> is the location where you have downloaded the iCAP depot.

Installing and verifying gWLM agent 6.3.2
1. Install the gWLM agent on each managed node either manually or by using MSSW.
Manual installation
1. Copy the gWLMAgent.depot from the depot directory on the CMS (/var/opt/vse/
depot) to /var/tmp on the managed system.
2. Install the gWLM agent on each managed node:
# /usr/sbin/swinstall -s /var/tmp/gWLMAgent.depot gWLMAgent
Installation using MSSW
1. On the 6.3.2 CMS, select Configure→Managed System Setup Wizard....
2. Search and select the nodes on which you want to install the latest 6.3.2 agents.
3. In the Choose Options page, select the Install option from the drop-down list. Follow the
instructions on the wizard to complete the installation.
