Suggested Action: To resolve this issue:
Ensure that the system meets the minimum VC firmware version requirement to upgrade to
v7.3. If the system does not meet the minimum requirement, then you must install the required
VC firmware.
If the system has met all the required VC firmware version and the popup still appears on
Windows 2012 system, then ignore the warning message and continue with the upgrade
process.
Installer Error messages
A component failed to install.
At times, certain component installations may fail. If this happens, first check whether virus scanning
software was running during installation. Virus scanning software can cause a component installation
to fail. On rare occasions, it is possible for individual product installations to not be able to continue
(the product installation fails to complete) due to a timing issue in the startup of the HP SIM service.
Suggested action: Disable any virus scanning software and run Installer again.
IM Installer screens do not get displayed appropriately in Japanese and
Simplified Chinese locales when using Internet Explorer 11
Suggested action: To resolve this issue, perform the following actions to change the settings in
Internet Explorer 11:
1. On Internet Explorer 11, click Internet Options.
2. Click Accessibility and check Ignore font styles specified on webpages.
3. Click Fonts and select SimSun-ExtB font as the Webpage font and MS Gothic font as Plain text
font for both Japanese and Simplified Chinese Locales.
