HP Insight Orchestration 6.0 User Guide

Insight Orchestration fully supports the Flex-FC configuration and defaults to that configuration for storage.
Insight Orchestration requires separating the boot disk storage pool entry, private data disk storage pool
entry, and shared data disk storage pool entry.
You can save storage pool entries without entering the Volume Path Settings, however be sure to modify
these entries, after you receive the LUN information from your SAN administrator. HP recommends using
WWN based SAN switch zoning for c-Class blades with virtual connect.
Modifying the logical server timeout value
By default, Insight Orchestration sets a timeout of 120 minutes for a logical server create request in the
hpio.properties file in Program Files\HP\Insight Orchestration\conf.
# Maximum number of minutes wait for a single physical CreateLogicalServer
operation
timeout.create.physical.logicalserver = 120
# Maximum number of minutes wait for a single virtual CreateLogicalServer
operation
timeout.create.virtual.logicalserver = 120
A timeout occurs if any individual logical server provisioning takes longer than 120 minutes as measured
from when the actual provisioning starts, not from when the create request started.
Configuring Insight Orchestration resources in Systems Insight Manager
After installing Insight Orchestration, a member of the HPIO_Administrators Windows group can log in to
Insight Orchestration console through Systems Insight Manager. HPIO_Administrators can then set up resources
to allow provisioning. To log in to the Insight Orchestration console, in Systems Insight Manager, select
ToolsInsight Orchestration.
After a short loading screen, the Insight Orchestration console appears.
