Designer error dialog message:
A fatal error occurred while initializing the Designer.
Issue
Please make sure the Insight Orchestration service is running and try
again.
Occurs when launching Designer from the Console (using the Template tab Edit buttons).Possible cause
Launch Designer using a browser at https://<cms>:51443/hpio/designer and open the desired
template.
Action
With IE6, launching Designer from Insight Orchestration console can cause sporadic Designer
interface failures. Insight Orchestration console in Systems Insight Manager displays the following
message: The HP Insight Orchestration tool cannot be displayed.

Possible cause
In Systems Insight Manage,r select ToolsInsight Orchestration. The Insight Orchestration Console
will return to its normal display.

User not authenticated.
Issue
Signing out of the Designer after launching Designer from the Insight Orchestration console (using
the Template tab New or Edit buttons).
Possible cause
In Designer, instead of clicking Sign Out, either close the IE7 browser (using the close (X) button in
the upper right) or close the IE7 browser tab (using the close (X) button at the right end of the
Designer's tab.

Troubleshooting items addressed in this section:
In Systems Insight Manager, the Insight Orchestration error page “The HP Insight Orchestration
tool cannot be displayed” appears when listing server pools exceeds a one-minute timeout.
Insight Orchestration service may not start automatically after system restart.
Insight Orchestration may time out while waiting for the server to be recognized.
Insight Orchestration email messages (such as approval and notification) are not sent.
Insight Orchestration notification emails contain a URL that does not appear as a link in
Microsoft Outlook 2003.
Insight Orchestration does not send email notifications to users assigned to, or unassigned
from, a server pool.
