HP Insight Orchestration 6.3 User Guide

NOTE: If the Insight Orchestration administrator password is subsequently changed using
the Systems Insight Manager Reconfigure CMS Tools (mxreconfig), the changed Insight
Orchestration administrator password is not reflected in Operations Orchestration Studio and
database. Manually change the Operations Orchestration Studio and database passwords
as follows.
1. Execute the following commands from the command prompt:
mxpassword -m -x MxDBUserPassword=<New Password>
mxpassword -m -x io.db.password=<New Password>
mxpassword -m -x oo.admin.password=<New Password>
2. Update the gwlmdb.properties file by executing the following command from the
command prompt:
vseinitconfig -a
3. Open a Windows command prompt and navigate to the directory ..\Program Files\
HP\Operations Orchestration\Central\tools.
4. Execute change-db-props.bat to change the Operations Orchestration Administrator
password to match the changed Insight Orchestration Administrator password. (The
Operations Orchestration Administrator password is not necessarily the same as the
Operations Orchestration “admin” password.) For example:
..\Program Files\HP\Operations Orchestration\Central\
tools>change-db-props.bat Administrator <New password>
5. Restart the RSCentral Windows service.
6. Open Operations Orchestration Central (web portal) at https://localhost:16443/PAS/.
Log in to the “admin” user account and specify the old password.
7. Select the Administration tab and change the password for the admin user.
The new password for admin must match the password specified for
oo.admin.password.
See the HP SIM User Guide at www.hp.com/go/foundationmgmt/docs for information about
using the CMS Reconfigure Tools.
3. After you log in, a tree appears in the left panel. Expand Configuration, and then expand
System Properties.
4. Double-click any one of the system properties to display a table you can use to view and
modify Operations Orchestration system properties.
