Caveats for Microsoft Windows server migrations
• Microsoft Windows 2008 migrations cannot be initiated from a Microsoft Windows 2003 x86 CMS
• Migration of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 to a destination server with a Brocade HBA requires a
minimum of SP2
• Microsoft Windows 2003 (with no SP) is not supported by x-to-ProLiant (X2P) migrations; a minimum
of SP1 is required
Caveats for Linux server migrations
The following caveats apply to Linux server migrations:
• Supports migration of servers with the GRUB boot loader
• Migrations are not supported to Citrix
• Does not support the migration of:
Para-virtualized kernels•
• Software RAID
• Encrypted file systems
• Dual mode Microsoft Windows and Linux
• Snapshot logical volumes
