• Storage Provisioning Manager (SPM) (Windows CMS only)
On-demand storage provisioning – satisfy Matrix storage service requests by using either
pre-provisioned volumes or by dynamically provisioning volumes to match the specified
storage requirements

◦ Dynamic zoning – automatically zone Fibre Channel SANs (from supported vendors)
based on service requirements
◦ Storage templates – provide administrative control to set policies and access controls for
storage provisioning
◦ New, enhanced user interface that includes:
New summary screen with an advanced dashboard and statistics to monitor storage
usage, oversubscription rations, and storage available to fulfill future service requests

– New interfaces for importing storage resources, creating storage templates, managing
SPM security, monitoring service usage, and managing many other operations
– Improved responsiveness and ability to make real-time queries from the SPM catalog

Fixes
The primary objectives of this release are to support of the latest HP hardware platforms, support
the latest revisions of already supported operating systems and hypervisors, add new functionality,
and fix software issues.
Several software updates improved performance in large scale environments.
