3. Add and configure the Application Server role:
a. Click Manage→Add Roles and Features in the top menu of Server Manager.
b. Click Next and the installation type screen appears.
c. Select Role-based or feature-based installation and click Next.
d. In the destination server, select the server that you are configuring in the server pool list
and click Next.
e. Click Next in the Roles screen.
f. Select the following features in the Features screen:
• SNMP Service (also add the required features)
• .NET Framework 3.5
• User Interfaces and Infrastructure (Desktop Experience item)
g. Click Next.
h. Click Specify an alternative source path in the Confirm installation selections screen.
i. Access the alternate source path by opening the Window 2012 ISO file and pointing to
a drive such as E:\sources\sxs. Click Next.
