HP Matrix Operating Environment 7.3 Update 1 Installation and Configuration Guide for Provisioning with Virtual Resources

Infrastructure orchestration console overview
The infrastructure orchestration console enables you, as an administrator, to deploy, manage and
monitor the overall behavior of IO and its users, templates, services, and resources. For example
as an administrator you can:
View status, progress, and details of completed and executing requests
View resources
Approve or reject pending requests
Perform pool management
The infrastructure orchestration console displays the following tabs:
Home Displays an overview of Matrix infrastructure orchestration operations providing
statistics, resource usage, and links to access IO tasks.
Templates Enables you to view details, and create services from published templates.
Administrators and architects can also create, edit, and delete templates.
Requests Allows you to view and manage the requests generated while performing
other tasks such as a service instantiation or a service deletion.
NOTE: This tab is empty until an administrator or user has submitted a request
and the request is in-progress or completed.
Services Enables you to start, stop, restart, standby, view details, or delete service
templates.
Servers Displays available server pools, including the name of the resource, pool
details, and server details. A server pool is a set of resources that you can
view and utilize when creating new infrastructure services. You can also view
the current utilization of the resources in the pool and assess which resources
are still available for use.
Storage Displays a summary of the Matrix OE visualization - Manage Storage Pools
page, including the name of the resource, storage pool entries, and LUN
information. From this screen, you can launch Matrix OE visualization to
create, update, or manage the SPEs.
Organization Displays details about the organizations in the environment, and allows you
to create and modify an organization, and assign resources, users and
administrators to an organization.
Users Enables you to view the users and the pools assigned to them, and provides
links to the following setup Tasks:
View Insight Audit Messages
Modify IO Users and Groups
Manage Console Authorizations
Networks Displays the available networks and enables you to configure these networks.
These settings are critical and are used by the IO controller to make allocation
decisions and to configure servers on service infrastructure creation.
Software Enables you to view available Matrix infrastructure orchestration software and
add annotations, such as the size of a software image, OS and processor
architecture compatibility limitations, or notes.
Calendar Enables you to search for and view utilization information for users, services,
and templates, graphically displaying usage and conflicts. The calendar
displays content relevant to the search context. For example, if you search for
a user, the Schedule tab displays the services owned by that user, the
