HP Matrix Operating Environment 7.0 Integrity CMS Installation and Configuration Guide (7.0 and 7.1)

1 Introduction
This document describes the installation and configuration of HP Matrix Operating Environment
for HP-UX (Matrix OE for HP-UX) . It is intended to be used by Matrix OE for HP-UX system
administrators, Matrix OE for HP-UX application administrators, capacity planners, and other
technical professionals involved with data center operations, administration, and planning. An
understanding of HP-UX system administration concepts and procedures is assumed.
Installing, updating, and configuring Matrix OE for HP-UX involves performing the following tasks:
• Checking hardware and software requirements for Matrix OE for HP-UX.
• Installing Matrix OE for HP-UX on the CMS.
• Upgrading Matrix OE for HP-UX from previous versions of the software.
• Installing agent software and WBEM providers on managed systems.
• Performing post-install or post-upgrade configurations of Matrix OE for HP-UX.
• Backing up and restoring the Matrix OE for HP-UX database.
