◦ TCP/UDP port message delivery ◦ Text log files ◦ Console – ◦ The messages related to console notifications are written either to /dev/console or /dev/xconsole as available. OPC messages to OpenView IT/Operations – For OPC notifications, HP Operations Agent product must be installed. Continentalclusters uses the opcmsg command that is shipped as part of HP Operations Agent to send OPC notifications. Security infrastructure Continentalclusters for Linux B.12.00.00 uses a secure infrastructure.
Support for IPv6 protocol Primary and recovery clusters in Continentalclusters can be configured with IPv6 address. Additionally, notifications provided for cluster events can use an IPv6 address. IMPORTANT: A mixed cluster configuration, in which one cluster is configured with the IPv4 protocol, and the other cluster with the IPv6 protocol, is not supported.
Host Software requirements • Serviceguard for Linux version A.12.00.00 • Continentalclusters requires SSH to be configured among all the nodes in the clusters. If SSH is not available on the cluster nodes, install the following RPMs on all the nodes in the clusters: ◦ openssh-4.3 or later on RHEL, and ◦ openssh-5.1 or later on SLES NOTE: SSH must not be configured to emit any banner messages on command execution.
/opt/cmcluster/doc 2. Run the following command to install Continentalclusters SNMP RPM. This RPM is required by Continentalclusters for sending SNMP notifications. For Red Hat: # rpm –i serviceguard-continentalclusters-snmpd-B.12.00.00.rhel5.x86_64.rpm (RHEL 5.x only) # rpm –i serviceguard-continentalclusters-snmpd-B.12.00.00.rhel6.x86_64.rpm (RHEL 6.x only) For SLES: # rpm –i serviceguard-continentalclusters-snmpd-B.12.00.00.sles11.x86_64.
