HP 2000 G2 Modular Smart Array Controller Firmware M113R10 Release Notes (508849-014, February 2012)

The controller crashed when I/O restarted on vdisks that came online after drives that were
removed earlier were reinstalled.
The incorrect speed was reported for 3Gbps drives.
When both SAS paths to a drive briefly disappeared, the drives were dropped.
In large systems with many cascaded drive enclosures, POST stalled during the SAS topology
initialization.
Prevent repeated crashes and reboots during offline initialization of vdisk.
Expanded online help information available about expanding vdisks.
An email address greater than 31 characters crashed the controller.
An NTP time offset caused the time on the controller to be set incorrectly.
Added an additional prompt when expanding vdisks.
In HP SIM, the status of a single-controller array was errantly reported as Degraded (instead of
OK) with the one I/O module installed.
After adding a drive enclosure to a system and performing a rescan, the ID number associated
with the drive enclosures was incorrect.
Events for unused phy devices were written to the event logs.
Boot time was not accurately reported in the event logs.
Changed the power supply LED behavior for under-voltage conditions. The LED illuminates solid
amber during an under-voltage condition, but will now remain illuminated even after the current
returns to within range, until the power supply is replaced or power cycled.
The power supply module lost track of the reset state.
Different power supply and I/O module statuses were reporting on the two controllers in a
dual-controller system.
After a firmware update, drives in enclosures 1 and 3 were classified as Unknown.
An I/O timeout on some drives caused the drives to go down and the vdisk to go offline.
Dual-port drives in attached drive enclosures became single ported or were marked as failed
when a cable was disconnected.
The temperature for warnings on I/O Modules has been changed as follows: Critical=68 degrees
Celcius (154.4 degrees Farenheit); Warning=63 degrees Celcius (145.4 degrees Farenheit).
A controller failed to start up when drives were missing from a vdisk.
When clearing metadata from multiple drives, the vdisk was quarantined.
Bad Block Relocation was erroneously performed on a drive other than the one that generated
the medium error. This caused the erroneously used drive to later fail.
Updated all Japanese language files.
SMU-specific enhancements and fixes:
Added the Send Test Notification button.
Incorporated multiple improvements and corrections in the Japanese SMU.
Improved the LUN number limit check.
When scheduling a snapshot, if the prefix name is too long, an error message was not
generated.
Even after a temporary license expired, a message stating that several days remained in the
trial period was displayed.
The Volume Copy Now option was not working.
