Stored Procedures
The Neoview platform supports stored procedures in Java. For more information, refer to the
SQL/MX Guide to Stored Procedures in Java.
Scripting Support
The Neoview platform supports a client-based utility, HP Neoview Script, which enables you
to enter SQL statements interactively or from script files in its command-line interface. You can
also pass an SQL statement to Script from a Perl or Python command line or from a Perl or Python
program. For more information, see the Neoview Script Guide.
System Name Display and Logon Help Link
The DB Admin tool displays the user ID of the user who is logged on. In addition, HP support
or users in the role.mgr group can edit a configuration file so that the system’s name is displayed.
You can customize a link from the DB Admin start page to a web page containing help for DB
Admin users. For example, you might want to provide help in logging on to the system or help
for users who have forgotten their passwords. For example:
Only members of the services ID and role.mgr can change the logon help link.
To customize a help link:
1. Start DB Admin and log on using the service ID or role.mgr.
2. Click DB Admin and then click HP Neoview DB Admin Settings.
