To conserve printing supplies such as ink and paper, try the following:
Change the print mode to a draft setting. Draft setting uses less ink.
Do not clean the ink cartridges unnecessarily. This wastes ink and shortens the
life of the cartridges.
Reduce paper usage by printing on both sides of the paper. For more information,
see
Print on both sides (duplexing).

1 Media width guide – Adjusts to accommodate different media sizes.
2 Input tray – Holds the media. Remove media and close this tray when the printer is not
in use.
NOTE: If you are loading larger-size media, pull to extend the tray.
3 Narrow media guide – When sliding the media width guide to the right and against
narrow or small media, this guide automatically slides to the left slightly.
4 Front access cover – Provides access to the ink cartridges and for clearing paper jams.
This cover must be closed before printing can begin.
5 Output slot – Media exits the printer here.
