1 Appliance requirements 1.1 Appliance VM and host requirements HP OneView is delivered as a virtual appliance running on a VMware vSphere Hypervisor VM (virtual machine). IMPORTANT: HP OneView cannot import existing VC (HP Virtual Connect) domain configurations, so do not select a host system located in an enclosure that you plan to manage with HP OneView. You can, however, select a host system located on an HP ProLiant DL rack mount server that you plan to manage with HP OneView.
1.2.1 Minimum firmware requirements Ensure that the devices you plan to manage have the following minimum firmware versions before you add them to the appliance. Table 1 Minimum firmware requirements to add device Device Firmware version HP Virtual Connect 3.15 HP BladeSystem Onboard Administrator 3.00 HP Integrated Lights-Out 4 1.01 HP Integrated Lights-Out 3 1.20 Firmware considerations for HP Virtual Connect modules • HP OneView supports only the HP Virtual Connect firmware versions 3.
1.3 Supported web browsers and versions The following web browsers have been tested and qualified for use with HP OneView. • Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 9 and 10 • Mozilla Firefox Version 24 • Mozilla Firefox ESR (Extended Support Release) Version 24.x • Google Chrome Version 30 IMPORTANT: HP makes every effort to support newer versions of and updates to supported web browsers. However, newer versions do not always work as expected.

connected to an unmanaged interconnect module). The appliance reports the existence of the adapter on the Server Hardware screen or on the Server Hardware Types screen in the UI. 2.
2.6 Networking LOM and mezzanine cards If an adapter that is not fully supported exists in a server, the adapter is not actively managed by the appliance; this state is referred to as unmanaged support. The adapter might still be usable depending on the model and what it is connected to (for example, an interconnect module). The appliance reports the existence of the adapter on the Server Hardware screen or on the Server Hardware Types screen in the appliance UI. 2.6.
